Poplerro

June 2018

Polperro is the most quaint, English town. It feels like you have stepped into a moody novel. The weather was rainy and chilly and honestly that made it the best. Polperro is a fishing village with a lot of personality to offer an explorer. It is a small town so if you are eager for a scenic hike, lots of amazing places to stop and read a book, and pubs with the best local vibes then this town is perfect. Because it is a small town you can definitely go for a short stay and still feel it was worth it.

We (my two sisters and I) stayed at a proper British Bed and Breakfast called Penryn House. Honestly the breakfast there was one of my favorite parts of the trip. You actually ordered of a menu for hot breakfast and had pastries, granola, and loads of other options for cold breakfast: all included in your stay. The owner Anna was so happy to give suggestions and really just a wonderful host.

Low tide

This town was proud of local artwork and music. And it is such a scenic spot for artist to come.

High tide

You obviously cannot visit Cornwall without getting a pasty. The traditional pasty is beef, potato, and veg all wrapped up in flaky delicious bread. Sadly a very mean seagull flew at me and stole my pasty right out of my hands!! Just an excuse to eat another one.

Hiking in the rain with my sister is one of the best memories I have.

Polperro was so comfortable, like a town that feels like home. I love the quiet and slow pace of life and the beautiful coast so I would love to go back and stay for a while.
