My Philosophy

If I am constantly striving to have the perfect body or be what I deem the perfect weight, I find myself obsessing and falling short. How do I maintain a healthy lifestyle of my mind, body, and soul and be truly happy? Not staying active and eating junk does not make me happy. But counting every calorie and living at the gym does not either. Coming from the perspective of someone who has dealt with both negative views of my body as well as wanting too much control over food, I had to find my balance.

My balance comes in many different ways, but the one I ventured to make my profession was personal training and most recently cooking! I started with myself. I started choosing to be active and to eat delicious food that us good for me. This progressed into a healthy habit and eventually one of my favorite pastimes. I will not be competing in any fitness shows or be deadlifting huge amounts. Those versions of activity are not where I find my joy and my passion, or ultimately myself. I find myself in the beautiful existence of my daily life with activity,  exercise, and creating meals as the most wonderful additions.

I want to share this with others. The feeling of accomplishment after a good sweaty workout. I want to share the joy from within when I treat my one body as well as it deserves with a delcious, wholesome meal. I want to share my mood that spikes to a wonderfully happy place when my endorphins kick in. To share these amazing things I became a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise and began making a mess in my kitchen creating.

I always have fresh flowers on the table, I love cooking with fresh ingredients, I set the mood with my record player, and take care of my mind when it needs rest. My desire is to boost other’s progress on this journey by simply sharing what I love.
